Sculptural vase - unique piece, hand-built by Xanthe Somers

This imposing, fascinating orange piece was created by Zimbabwean artist Xanthe Somers.

Xanthe studied and now works in London. These oranges and reds are very reminiscent of Zimbabwe - As well as the textured handles.

"I like to see the brushstrokes, to see my handprints and to see how the clay has been molded and squeezed and sculpted into shape. In all of my pieces I do not strive for a perfection that could have been factory-made, but rather to celebrate the imperfections."

GLAZE : Vivid orange with touches of dark red and white

This piece is glazed inside and could therefore contain flowers;Gently cleanse and rinse after use. Avoid placing it on a fragile surface.
